Five Reasons To Make Marketing A Home Business Priority

The importance of marketing is often forgotten by the small / home business owner as they are usually so busy in all the many roles they have to undertake. Multitasking is a skill they have acquired and it is quite normal for the owner of a small business to do the work of the receptionist, the secretary, the accountant, the mender, and carry out many more functions along the way.

They may even hire people to do work in some of these areas but they still have such a lot to remember and to do, and this is where marketing can sometimes take a back seat.

Nonetheless, it is really important that you do not forget about marketing as it is vital for every business, however large or small. Listed below are five reasons why marketing should be one of your top priorities in business.

1. Marketing regularly draws new customers to your door who may be in need of your services or products. Let's face it, you could be doing a great job but without customers who would ever know about it?

2. Existing customers are kept happy by marketing. Loyalty bonuses for customers keep your already established client base coming back for more, and these happy customers are always ready to pass on the good word, which in turn will bring you more new customers.

3. A good image is necessary for your business to succeed. As a small business you may not have the budget of the large firms but you must present your business in a way which will attract your target market.

4. Word of mouth marketing is an excellent way to attract new customers, thereby increasing your profits and it's much less costly too, so it is not necessary to spend lots of money on advertising. Take a good look at your customer service policies and remember keeping the customer satisfied reaps great rewards in the long run.

5. It is important to keep ahead of your competitors and good marketing can help you with this. Keep an eye on your competitor's marketing schemes and without overspending yourself ensure there is more than one player to be seen on the field.

You may find you are too busy to get involved with marketing. If this is the case, you could hire someone to work on this side of the business on your behalf. The rewards gained by having a marketing strategy in place will more than pay for the cost of hiring the extra person to do the job.

Looking to the future, if you really want your business to prosper and grow, then marketing should be one of your top priorities right now.

Non-MLM Home Business vs MLM Business Opportunity

A question we get asked from time to time is, So what is the difference between:

  • mlm home business
  • non mlm business opportunity
  • network marketing

First of all, anytime you have an online business, or a product or service that you are marketing via a network of people , it is network marketing - it is simply moving a product or service through a network of people - whether they are distributors, other team members, or customers...

There are, by far, more mlm or traditional network marketing businesses floating around, but if you are looking for a way to create financial success within your first year, you may be looking for a non mlm business opportunity...

Typically, what happens in a traditional mlm marketing plan, is to get your team or downline built and start making a residual income off their monthly autoship - which is the way most mlm companies move their products...In order for everyone to get paid, product must be moved!

With an mlm opportunity, you are dependant on the efforts of your downline and whether or not they stay on the monthly autoship, will determine the size of your check...which gets sent to you by the company.

So you do want to read the policies and procedures of the mlm companies and do your research on their reputability...it is best to find one that has been in business for a couple years...

In a non mlm business opportunity - usually what happens, is you pass up part or all of your first or first two sales to your mentor, in compensation for training you and after that, the profits are all yours. Some call it the Aussie-1-Up or Aussie-2-Up...So in reality , with a non mlm marketing plan, you get paid on your efforts and how well you train your team. Once you have your 'training sales' done, every person that joins your team will now owe you THEIR first or first two sales...which can then turn into four, which turns into eight, etc...

This type of income is often referred to as exponential income instead of residual income...

The cost to get involved into the non mlm business opportunities is often higher than the mlm...and the products are usually of greater value....In some cases, because it's a direct sales model, the commissions made are as high as 80% versus the 3%-10% in traditional mlm...Instead of making $10 and $30 commissions, you quite often make anywhere from $500 - $10,000 per transaction...

So basically, the main differences in a non mlm opportunity are:

  • You get paid directly by your client instead of by the company...
  • You do not profit from a downline once their 'training sales' are done...
  • The commissions are higher and so is the investment - in most cases...

I personally believe that there is success to be had in both compensation structures...typically, it happens more quickly within the non mlm pay plans because of the higher commissions, especially if you are a go-getter and highly motivated individual!

MLM Training - Would You Perform Your Own Surgery?

Did you consider MLM training before you dove into your new Network Marketing Business? Training is absolutely essential to your MLM success.

Assuming you have no knowledge of electricity, would you decide to wire your brand new 3700 square foot home yourself?

How about surgery? Would you sit at the kitchen table with a steak knife and just get instructions from your surgeon over the phone on how to perform your own surgery? I doubt it. Yes that is a commercial.... hilarious once the guy realizes this might not be such a brilliant plan after all.

I realize it is hard to know what type of MLM training will help you succeed. The training takes time away from the building process in some ways, but just as it is essential to lay a strong foundation for your new home before beginning to frame the home.

It is equally important to lay a solid foundation of knowledge about the MLM industry, the company, MLM marketing and management skills before diving headlong into promoting.

My first few years in Network Marketing, my up-line didn't have the same definition of what training meant as I did. I was looking for practical MLM training tips and marketing ideas with substance I could use to build my Network Marketing business.

Those first few years, the training I received was focused mostly on product knowledge, which you do need to a certain extent. Basically they had no other marketing suggestions except to call my 50 friends and family again and again, sit in the mall and cold call.

They never considered my family and friends might not be my target market. I had no duplicable system to follow. My up-line's personality allowed for 99 "no's" to get that one "yes". My personality does not.

I needed a duplicable system. Cold calling in the mall, calling family and friends over and over is not a duplicable system. The rest of the MLM training I received was related more to "how to give a presentation" and "sell the prospect".

Network Marketing is not about "selling" the prospect on your "deal". Network Marketing is a teaching and mentoring business built on building relationships with others and truly trying to help others meet a need.

Helping others meet their needs and goals will help you to meet yours as well! The Golden Rule is quite applicable: "Treat others as you would have them treat you."

MLM training should be as individual as it is essential to the success of the distributor. Each person comes to the MLM industry with different needs, MLM goals and skills. All people can be successful in this business if they understand a few things:

1) They will NOT get rich quickly. (The average time it takes to make a desirable income is 3 to 5 years. Can it be done quicker? Of course!)

2) They WILL be required to WORK in their business. (It will not fall in their lap!)

3) Network Marketing Training and Up-Line support is essential to your business (Most of us can't succeed alone!)

4) The business model of the chosen MLM Company is crucial to the success it's distributors

5) Do you have a duplicable system for attracting prospects to your business?

Are you willing to perform surgery on yourself? If not, wouldn't you want professional MLM training to ensure success in your business?

Online Business Opportunity With The Reverse Funnel System

By Nicolas Warnken

Recently, Ty Coughlin and his team called the Inner Circle have developed a new online business called the Reverse Funnel System. This system is targeted towards anybody with a computer and an internet connection. I thought this was strange that it was available to anyone, so I started to do my usual investigation that I always go through when something this big hits the market. My normal inquiries generally lead me down a path of disappointment and broken promises. However, this time I was truly surprised at what I found.

I could not believe that so many members of the Reverse Funnel System were having the success that most in other organizations achieve, only after years of failing and starting over. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that non of its members are automatically shipped hundreds of dollars worth of products every month to sell, which normally gets stuck with the team members. As a matter of fact, The Reverse Funnel System members don't ever touch the product that they sell. Everything is fully automated and done online.

How does the system work? The answer lies in the question. It is the system that few others have that makes this such a successful adventure. Ty's motto is "Systems Work-People Fail". What the Inner Circle has done is taken out the human element in the sales process. This system makes it simple for-that's right-anyone with a computer and an internet connection to use. Even those with absolutely no internet marketing experience have made sales with the Reverse Funnel System. I recently spoke with a member who made nine sales in his very first week. The only problem he had was that he did not set up his credit card processor to except a large enough volume of sales in a given month.

Ty and his group have done 90% of the work normally involved in running an online home based business. This includes setting up personal web pages, lead capture pages, auto-responder emails, tracking of all campaign stats, and conducting surveys for potential new members and many other pivotal items in running a successful business.

The Reverse Funnel System even includes a simple to use web based back office. Here you can click on the "Advertiser Database" button and be directed to thousands of sites to place ads directly on the internet. This is the 10% of work that is left to RFS members. The more people that they send to their personal web sites that are included in the Reverse Funnel System, the more likely that sales will follow.

One member explained it to me like this. He said it was like taking a foot long piece of pipe and shoving pebbles into it. Keep shoving more and more pebbles into it. The pebbles are those that visit the members' sites. Eventually pebbles begin to get shoved through the other side of the pipe in the form of sales. The only thing that RFS members are left to do is market their web sites. That is the remaining 10% which is still helped along by the Reverse Funnel System.

Another member told me the she has never had so much support in any business that she has ever been apart of. She explained that the (2) $1000 commissions are the backbone of the entire program. I wasn't sure what she was talking about so she explained in a little more detail. Not only do members receive a $1000 commission per sale, but so do their up line sponsors. So members not only have the support of RFS but also a one on one relationship with their sponsors. She explained that her goal, which she is close to achieving, is to have 60 top line team members signed up. She said that once this is done, all she has to do is coach her team. All she would need to make $15000 every week is a quarter of her team making only one sale.

This is an amazing system that Ty Coughlin has developed. There are thousands of team members that are so grateful for this system, as it has changed their lives forever. I hope that now you can understand how powerful and helpful that the Reverse Funnel System is and why it is taking the home based internet business industry over.

Build A Home Based Business Fast

When searching the internet you will see many adverts that promise how easy it is to make money online. While this is partially true it is a lot more difficult than what the adverts make it out to be. The hardest part is when you start an internet business from scratch and for most people this is too much and they give up. Once your business is setup it does run on autopilot and can only take a few hours of work a week. It is very important to pick the right opportunity when you start otherwise you can waste a lot of time to get it right.

When you start it can be overwhelming. The most important part is choosing a niche. Using your unique angle on you chosen market will distinguish you from your competitors and allow your business to flourish. There is no point building another Amazon as they have already taken their market share where as say for example you build an online Harley motor spares store there is a much higher chance of succeeding as their is less competition.

Coming up with an original idea can be a difficult task and this is where most people struggle to create their specific niche. Keep an open mind and look around for ideas. You can look at the current trends in newspapers, malls, television and radio. You can also do a search on Google and look at other specific businesses which will help you to come up with your unique angle.

After you have done your research you need to decide which business model will suit you. This is a very important step. Get this wrong and you will spend months frustrating yourself with a home based business model that does not work.

Would you like to know more about the magical marketing techniques that have helped me to quit my day job? I have just completed my new guide.
